What is it?
- A marathon and half-marathon training program
- Utilizes intervals of running and walking that minimize injuries

- Designed and administered by Jeff Galloway, Olympian and long-time marathoner
How does it work?
You join a group of local runners (over 60 members in 2005) who train together on Saturday mornings beginning in May and continuing until you run your marathon(s) in the fall or winter. Most of the this year's group will be running the Marathon of the Palm Beaches in December, 2006.
How can I benefit?
- You will be able to run a marathon or half-marathon within 6 months (over 95% of the members do).
- You will be able to run with a group each week
- at your ability level
- on interesting, accurate, and varied routes
- with a definite training schedule
- enjoying good conversation (and maybe a word game or two)
- with water stations every two miles
- You will receive group support as you run your marathon
- You will receive training schedules, Galloway's book, Coolmax shirt, training advice, and endless encouragement.
